Dixie School District Programs Supported
For the 2008 - 2009 year, the Dixie Children’s Fund will provide almost $600,000 to Dixie School District in the areas of technology, physical education, counseling, and recognition.

Technology (~$188,000 total) - Funds provided to the district will pay for technology needs aligned with Dixie School District technology plan, including instruction, services, staff development, and hardware and software.

Physical Education (~$138,200 total) – Each elementary school will receive funds to pay for physical education instruction and equipment at their site.

School Programs (~$227,800) - Through Can Do!, each elementary school and Miller Creek Middle School will receive funds to pay for individual school site programs including Art, K-2 music and dance, Drama, after-school sports, and Lunch and extracurricular clubs.

Counseling ($15,000) – Miller Creek Middle School will receive $15,000 to help fund their counseling services.
- District Fund-A-Need ($20,000 - 35,000) - Each year, parents generously "raise their paddle" at the DCF auction fundraiser and make donations to fund a specific District need.

Recognition ($6,000) – The Dixie Children’s Fund continues to sponsor two recognition events each year. Teachers and staff are recognized at the annual “Welcome Back to School” breakfast and luncheon. “Consistent achiever” students in 5th and 8th grades are recognized at a May luncheon co-sponsored with the San Rafael School District.
